Girls Ride Out – May Ride Report
Had
about 40 bikes start with us at the
Caltex Servo
Heathcote, including about
3 riders that had
never been out with us
before and an
instructor from HART (Sue).
2 riders left us at
the first stop, one due to
nerves, the other
due to commitments.
The weather was
fine, clear and cool. The
first stop was at
Sublime Point, off the Old
Princes Highway at
Bulli. Then it was down
Mt. Ousley and along
the freeway to Albion
Park. After
regrouping at the roundabout,
we headed off to
Kiama via Jamberoo.
Arriving at Kiama
just on 12.00pm, everyone went their own way for lunch. Those that
wanted an interesting ride home, met up at 1.00pm at the top car
park of the Blowhole.
Approx. 10 bikes
showed up and the ride went via Jamberoo Mountain Road to Robertson,
Kangaloon and other locales to meet up with the Old Hume Highway
just north of Mittagong. Due to a bushfire, we had to turn around
and come back via Hilltop and Thirlmere, but we made it to the last
stop at Picton about 3.00pm.
Feedback from the
ride was positive.
