If you are a new member, simply complete the Membership Application Form, and post with your cheque or money order to the Membership Officer. Alternatively, you may hand your application form with cash, cheque or money order to a Committee Member at a Group Ride. If you are currently a financial member, just complete Membership Application Form and post with a cheque or money order to the Membership Officer. Alternatively you may hand your renewal form with cash, cheque or money order to a Committee Member at a Group Ride. Cheques should be made payable to: Girls Ride Out Inc. How much is the membership fee for 2008? The membership fee for 2008 for a new member is $25.00 and applies to the period 1 January to 31 December. If you join or renew after 1st November, the membership fee is current to the end of the year and carries over to the next calendar year. The renewal fee for membership is $20.00 and also applies to the period 1 January to 31 December. When I renew my membership, do I keep the membership number I already have? Yes. Your current membership number will apply, upon renewal, in 2008. What does my membership fee pay for? As with any organisation, it costs money to run things. Accordingly, your membership fee will go towards things like public liability insurance, bank fees, post office box fees, club phone, accommodation deposits for overnight rides, stationery, postage, small discount for first aid course participants (financial members only - if funds available), maintenance courses, set up for BBQ’s, events, and advertisements, to name a few. What do I receive if I join? Membership to Girls Ride Out ceases where the member dies, becomes non-financial, or resigns. Note: The resignation has to be in writing (email is fine)
and any outstanding fees must be paid before resignation takes effect. A general
period of one months notice, advising of resignation, is required by the
